Whether creating beautiful hair or consulting on a new personal image with hand-picked wardrobe and makeup professionals, your comfort level is always the first priority. As Laurance often says, “we want every client to know how special they are and to feel they have found an oasis.”
Having fashioned the hair for the collections of Valentino, Versace, and Calvin Klein on the runways of Paris, Milan and New York, and worked for such famed photographers as Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, and Patrick Demarchelier - with his work being seen in every major high fashion magazine in the U.S & Europe - Laurance’s career has taken him all over the world and allowed him to bring back these experiences and techniques infused with his attentiveness and a distinctive creative eye.
John is a first generation Greek born in the U.S. With a strong European-influenced upbringing, his talent and love for art shows through in hair. John’s creativity was later noticed by the infamous Yusuke Suga, a Japanese hair stylist, and became his protégé. Well known in New York’s fashion circles, Suga created the ''wedge'' haircut worn by the skater Dorothy Hamill in the Olympics. Suga Salon’s clientele included Candice Bergen, Lauren Hutton, and Faye Dunaway, among others. “We love our Clients”, John boasts, and says he feels strongly that his conversations with his Clients give him his creative avenue.
Their careers have come full circle, to doing what they love the most – creating beautiful hair for clients from all walks of life. John says, “watching and creating a real transformation gives me such a great feeling.”
